I work at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) where I am the Chief of the Budget and Legislation Coordination Branch. I have been a Federal Civil Servant for 33 years. I am married to my best friend, James for 23 years. We have two children, Martin and Alexis. I am a Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Maria Spriggs Strother (Toni)
Class of 1976
Currently works for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as an Ag Marketing Specialist for the Agricultural Marketing Service. She has been married to her wonderful husband for 28 years; they have two loving children, a son-in-law, and a grandson (their pride and joy). Toni is very proud to be an alumnae of St. Patrick’s Academy and happy to be participating on this committee with such a wonderful group of women.

Currently employed with the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American where I serve as the Manager for Administrative Services, Museum Programs Unit. I am the proud parent of an eleven year-old son, Cameron Gardner.
